Green Screen

Here is Ben at his Best!!!

Shapes

here is a rough draft of a logo for my production company. I edited the path of the ball and then parented the logo to it. The logo itself was done with the stencil effect.

Particles

Here it is at last! A little particle piece I did using CC particle world with the shape set to bubbles. I had to mess with the various gravities and the velocities to make it a solid stream.

Titles

Here is a continuation of my earlier animation project. I added both the CC Glass filter as well as some lighting to make it shimmer. http://www.vimeo.com/15858128

Second Animation

Here is an abstract animated piece. I wrote an expression for that allowed me to control the size and XYZ offset with four sliders. This made it easy to control the formation and movement of the ring sequence. I broke up the Pow jpeg with the shatter effect.

Basic Animation Project 1

Here is my Basic Animation Project. It is the start of a logo for my friend's photography company. The three points of animation are the fingers, the iris, and lens flare. Much more to come.

Photoshop Project 1

Here is my first (of many) photoshopped images. I went with a personal hero of mine for this.

Hello,

This will act as the introductory entry to my brand new blog. Let's see, how can I describe myself without sounding like David Copperfield or Forest Gump?

I was born in Tacoma, WA but moved to Korea by the time I was one (and then back to the states when I was three). By the time I was thirteen, I had lived in over six different states, the common story of a military brat. Ever since I was a little kid, i have enjoyed telling stories. At first out loud, then on paper, and eventually on film. After four and a half years of Film School at the University of North Carolina Wilmington, six months in TV news, and nearly a year in Radio, I decided that Graduate School was the way to go. Thus, I find myself a happy and ambitious MFA Film Production Candidate at the University of Texas at Austin.

Here are three links that should help describe my career.

News coverage of a film festival where I screened m¥ undergraduate Thesis "Lemonade Stand". I took home the award for best comedy.

A documentary that I made two years ago. It has done very well and gotten me a few free trips to festivals.

A link to a clip from a narrative short film I made two years ago. It screened in the UT Hollywood Showcase.

I am a very ambitious person. My goal is to make films with original concepts while pushing the boundaries of what film is capable of as a creative medium. There is much, much more to come so stay tuned!
